Come eat dinner with my cousin and I at Palahana in Savage, Minnesota. Their menu features contemporary Hawaiian cuisine as well as some unique wood-fired pizzas. And if you didn't know, they were actually opened by the same team as Lake and Irving in Uptown Minneapolis. We decided to start the night off with drinks and both ended up ordering the Banzai from their cocktail menu. I was not expecting this drink to be strong, but that first sip almost took me out. After drinks, we ended up getting an appetizer and started off with this Kahlua pork arancini. A deep fried ball filled with Kahlua pork, creamy risotto, and salsa verde and pecorino cheese on the outside. Super crispy on the outside and that lime was really great from the salsa. Oh my god you guys we're finally at the entrees. We ordered the loco moco with the juicy beef patty and egg on top as well as the shoyu pizza with the miso cream and the shoyu braised short rib. The beef patty was so juicy and the pizza smelled absolutely delicious in real life especially with all the fried garlic on top. Oh my gosh and I forgot that we got the gochujang smoked wings as well. And here I am trying to do that TikTok challenge where you clean your bones in like one swift motion. Yeah, it didn't work out for me. So here I am eating my wings like a normal person should. Yeah, that was my review. Hope you enjoyed dinner with me.
