@startrader's Review of Portola Coffee Roasters - Huntington Beach, California

It's a weirdly dreary day here in Costa Mesa and I want a cup of coffee so come join me. Today I'm taking you to one of my favorites, Portola Coffee Lab in the OC Mix here in Costa Mesa. If you didn't know already, the OC Mix is one of Costa Mesa's anti-malls, a collection of local shops and boutiques all in one building. There's a ton of cool spots in here but my favorite has to be the coffee shop. Today I ordered one of their signature drinks and one of my very favorites, the Flat Brown. which is basically just a flat white with their house-made chocolate ganache. This has to be one of my favorite variations of a mocha. It's super, super decadent, not too sweet, and super flavorful. I also bought a bag of their espresso beans, which is one of my favorites. And when it's not raining, I usually go for one of their seasonal specialties or a cold brew. This is one of my top spots in all of Orange County for a good cup of coffee.
