@i-need-to-eat's Review of Mokyo - New York City, NY

Mokyo means Thursday in Korean. The chef of this restaurant, Kaehyun, also runs another restaurant called Thursday Kitchen in New York City. So you might be wondering what her obsession with Thursday is. Well, according to the restaurant, the weekend starts on Fridays, making Thursday night plans uncertain. And the restaurant wants to turn that uncertainty into excitement with quality food service and overall good vibes. I coincidentally visited Mokyo on Thursday night and it certainly turned my Thursday night into an exciting one. The food portions are small, so we ordered a bunch to try. My favorite were the lobster roll and the scallop. The gumbo and corn dumplings were pretty good at long. Note that Mogyo is not really a Korean restaurant. The food is inspired by Korean food but it mixes French and Spanish elements as well. This restaurant is definitely worth a visit especially if you're uncertain about your Thursday night plans.
