Waterfalls in New York you have to visit. Catterskills Falls. It's a 2.3 mile hike round trip and the views are insane. You can actually go behind the falls and swim in the water and the waterfall is two-tiered, around 260 feet tall. It is massive. They have free parking and make sure you wear comfortable non-slip shoes because you are definitely going to get wet and it's super narrow on the path.
