Hey, I'm here in the city of Matera, the third oldest city in the world. The views in this ancient Italian town are breathtaking, especially from one of the most popular restaurants in town, El Terezino. Located on the side of many mountains, even the short walk down the stairs looks like something out of a storybook. First, I tried their charcuterie board, with amazing meats, ginger burrata, and ricotta. And just check out that view. The burrata was so fresh, the juices just flowed from it with every bite, while the buttery ricotta spread went perfectly with fresh bread. The rich thin cuts of southern Italian meat just melted away in my mouth. For a main course, I tried the grilled sausage and lamb, which was cooked to perfection with a great smoky flavor I've never tasted before. Check that out. Next, I tried their house specialty pasta, the baked orichetti, which is some of the softest, freshest pasta I've ever eaten, complete with melted mozzarella, which was just outstanding. I topped my meal off with an espresso. And of course, I couldn't leave without taking a trip to their wine cellar. Now this was just mind-blowing. If you're ever in Matera, add this place to your list.
