Hey, next stop on my Italian food tour, the beautiful city of Sorrento, and the first Michelin star restaurant I've ever visited, El Duco. This restaurant specializes in offering a unique dining experience full of elevated Italian dishes that are truly incredible. First, we started with some unique specialty made breads and a mousse bouche of paella rice with tuna mousse, along with wraps of beef and vegetables. These bites were all... perfectly repaired and looked and tasted like art on a dish. Each bite was unique and flavorful. Next we had a dish with ricotta and fig compote. This actually looked a lot more like a deconstructed egg. The ricotta was balanced perfectly by the sweetness from the fig. Just outstanding. Next we had beef slow-cooked tacos with red cabbage and avocado. Never expected to eat tacos in Italy, but they were incredible. The beef was light, tender, and full of flavor. For the second course, I dined on lamb with umami peppers, cooked potatoes, and broccoli for my wife at the Caudagradin. It was amazing, light, and tender. For dessert, we have given a cannoli cream delight, a lemon mousse dessert with ice cream and berry jam, and also a deconstructed tiramisu. with a little message for our anniversary. What an experience.
