@hungere-for-diy's Review of Spinning Dough - Oakland, California

Have you been to Spinning Doe in Oakland yet? I've been wanting to come here for a while and I finally got a chance to do so. I really like the setting of this place. It had a really cozy feel to it and they also have this back patio area so next time I come I'll be able to bring my pups. Here's their menu and the back of their menu and their water came out with slices of lemon. I always appreciate places that have lemon with their water. We started with their Caesar salad and look how big this thing is. I put my hand next to it for comparison. I actually saw this being made. I really like kitchens where you can see your food being made with love and care. I don't know what it is, but I love it when Caesar salads come out like this with the whole lettuce leaves that haven't been chopped up yet. The lettuce to dressing to cheese ratio on this was on par. Then we got the baked maple chili wings. These came out piping hot and the meat was so tender and the glaze had a little bit of a kick to it, but it paired perfectly with their blue cheese dressing. For the pizza, we ended up splitting it and getting half margarita and half sorpresetta. I love pizza in general, so I have a pretty high bar for good pizza, and spinning dough somehow managed to exceed my bar. The dough was perfection. I have no idea how the dough is so thin, but it comes out with this perfect crisp, and the crust was bubbly and had a tiny bit of chewiness to it. Oh my, I think I may have found my new favorite pizza joint. At the end of our meal, we got a slice of their tiramisu. This was a perfect end to a perfect meal.
