@danthomasuk's Review of Glastonbury Festival - Pilton, No Place (SANDBOX)

This is Glastonbury 2023, day four, Saturday. And on a day when I visited the underground piano bar, it was first time to go and see one of my favourite bands, Manic Street Preachers, on the other stage. It was great to see them back at Glastonbury and being shown on the BBC, complete with footage of men jumping up and down for some reason. Next over to the Pyramid to check out Lizzo, before one of the festival's biggest ever bookings. Now at the Pyramid stage and the crowd are waiting for guns and roses to arrive at Wervey Farm. And arrive they did playing to an audience that went on as far as the eye could see. This is one of those bands that I never thought I'd see at Glastonbury or even at all and it was great to see them all back together. The band played most of their hits from Sweet Child and Mine to November Rain to Paradise City and even dedicated Live and Let Die to an audience member who was apparently familiar with the work. And with the audience singing and dancing the night away we next headed up to Strumerville and the Stone Circle. Glastonbury's underground piano bar where you can enjoy music and poetry in a secret location that definitely isn't in the sacred space before going on to enjoy the view from the park area with this nice older man.
