We just found this hidden gem serving up delicious Japanese fusion. Bri-baru in Lake Forest, California. We got their Japanese fish and chips. They use ahi mackerel, one of my personal favorites. A perfectly crispy breading, mm, paired with their nori shio fries. So delicious. Nadia's favorite for the night was their Japanese curry udon. Creamy, slightly sweet curry with tender chunks of beef. The perfect portion too. My personal favorite for the night was their roast beef don. This is their half size. Perfectly soft boiled egg, nicely seasoned roast beef. I could have taken down a full size, no problem. Last but not least, we tried their J.O.T. Their take on Okonomiyaki, but with their fluffy toast as the base. Topped with egg, cabbage, and all the sauces, this was packed with flavor. And every dish we got was under $11. Like, what? Unheard of. This mom and pop shop just got added to our regular rotation.
