Have you been to Tancho and Castro Valley yet? I'm always on the lookout for good sushi, so when I found out about Tancho's omakase menu, I had to give them a try. It's highly recommended that you make reservations ahead of time. They have a limited amount of fresh, high-quality ingredients, so you may not be guaranteed a seat if you walk in. One of my favorite things was this chawanmushi. The egg custard was so soft and silken smooth. It was perfection. I would also recommend that you sit at the bar. It's a little more interactive and you get to watch chef Jason create these amazing beautiful dishes. Another favorite from the night was the ankymo which is monkfish liver. I can't believe I've never had monkfish liver before. It had the consistency of foie gras but I think the flavors were deeper and richer. I'm gonna need more monkfish liver in my life from now on out. I don't know how but each dish was more scrumptious than the next. I mean just look at my reactions from everything I ate. If this doesn't tell you how much enjoyed this meal then i don't know what to tell you from the ambiance the level of service attention to detail and the food all of it just blew me away do yourself a favor and make reservations to tancho now you'll be in for a delightful experience
