@sunnyonscene's Review of La Veridica BBQ - Hialeah, FL

We are big barbecue fans, so when we were invited to a hosted experience at La Veredica Barbecue, we were like, barbecue and Hialeah, we're on it. La Veridica translates to truth, and we would sum up this barbecue as truthfully traditional with some Peruvian flair. There are no Peruvian dishes on this menu, just Peruvian flavors. We had the family platter with everything from the smoker, like ribs, chicken, and brisket, with their homemade sauces like ricotta barbecue, chiamoya barbecue, and ahi amarillo sauce. Their sides are Peruvian-inspired plazas. traditional barbecue, so mac and cheese with cotilla cheese sauce, cornbread with native Peruvian choclo corn, and pork and beans with Peruvian white canary beans and brisket. They also have a variety of fan favorites like burgers and nachos, all with their own spin. Pair with their private collection of La Veredica bottled beers produced in Peru with clever names, naturally fermented with no added CO2, so no heavy bloat. They also have my pairing preference, available wine, of course. For no alcohol, try Cremoladas with fruits indigenous to Peru. And for coffee lovers, get their supersized cafe con leche. Yes, Miami, go to Hialeah for barbecue.
