@matoka's Review of Pixiu Mala Hong Tang - Oakland, CA

I tried malatang and tanghulu for the first time courtesy of Pixiu malahongtang inviting me to their restaurant in Oakland. This is Korean style malatang, so of course I had to wear the most K-drama outfit that I have. It's a DIY hot pot or stir-fry with so many selections. I got the soup and the broth has a refreshing nutty flavor. There are other dishes like the gyoza and fried pork are great, but for me the star of the show was the chili shrimp. So good! And of course you can't forget the tanghulu. of the best meals I've had in a while no cap so if you're in the area you gotta check it out
