@hungere-for-diy's Review of Seasider Motel - Bar Harbor, ME

Have you stayed at the Seasider Motel in Bar Harbor yet? I hope for your sake that you haven't because this is one of the worst places I've ever stayed at. Let me explain. So this is the room that I thought I booked when I was planning our East Coast road trip vacation, but this is the room that I actually got. I was looking for a hotel to stay in but planned our vacation a little last minute so there was very limited availability and this motel was one of the only places that still had rooms available. I thought the photos looked pretty decent so I wasn't too worried but when we arrived I realized that the room looked very different from what I had booked. I mean just look at these photos. This is insane. I paid over $300 a night for two nights for this place. I booked a king balcony and didn't even get a balcony. I assumed that this is the balcony I was supposed to get according to the photos but when I contacted the manager about this he tried to gas me by telling me that this walkway was a balcony. No, Christopher, that is a walkway. He was incredibly rude and whiny and even went as far as to tell me that I should have booked with them directly instead of going through a third party. I just wanted to warn y'all so that you can avoid booking this horrible place.
