I went to the Museum of Illusions to show you which illusions you can find at amusement parks. Now, these illusions you can mainly find in fun houses and dark rides. And for those who don't know, an example of a dark ride would be like Disney's Haunted Mansion, and an example of a fun house would be like the Noah's Ark at Kennywood. Illusions were some of the first real special effects in amusement history, and they're so effective that they're still used today. For one, an upside-down room illusion can also be found at the Knoebels Haunted Mansion. Elyseburg, Pennsylvania. And this moving eye illusion, while not exactly the same, does remind me of the Wacky Shack at Waldemere in Erie, Pennsylvania, which is iconic. An iconic illusion, however, is the Vortex Tunnel, which can also be found in Waldemere's Wacky Shack. One of the earliest and most common illusions in amusement history are Tilted Rooms. Dating back to 1905, they go by many names, such as Mystery Shack, Confusion Hill, and Tilted House. One of the most famous examples being that of the Tipsy House at Arnold Park in Lake Obogee, Iowa.
