@coastercuzzies's Review of Kentucky Kingdom & Hurricane Bay - Louisville, Kentucky

First stop of the road trip on our way to Pennsylvania, we stopped in at Kentucky Kingdom. We knew we'd be fighting the weather, so we were trying to get the big three coasters out of the way to call it a day. Hoping to knock it out within the first hour and a half, really. We rope drop Lightning Run, expected to be closed. There's no employee there. And then the station is abandoned. Everybody's just sitting here wondering where the hell, what the hell's going on? Eventually an employee comes up and tells us it's closed for Lightning, which is kind of ironic because it's called Lightning Run. So at that point, there's only like five rides open. So my wife and I just took a walk around the park, like logged a workout and just walked around the park. After a mile and a half, we decided let's go ahead and post up, get some bourbon. This little restaurant and bar is right by the entrance of Kentucky Flyer. Had some games in there, had some whiskey, had some good beer selections. Here I am with my whiskey. It's just Knob Creek, nothing special. So we figured we'd sit here until Kentucky Flyer opened, because it was my only new credit I needed, and then the rain came in. And boy, did the rain come in. It rained and it rained some more it kept fucking raining it rained so much it kind of started to flood inside of the little restaurant at that point i went up and ordered another beer and they shut the restaurant down after about a half hour the employees came in and said we're closing it too which was literally like 15 minutes from the announcement so we cut our losses and went into the store to get a cup and the employees there did something adorable they named all of the stuffed animals high five i thought it was a lot of fun you can see the names here but this employee like grabbed me and wanted me to name this rainbow one on top so we figured it out together snuggles we didn't ride a single ride but the employees were very nice here and was really impressed with the park to be honest officer johnson could name overall all we did was drink and shop but it was still a fantastic day and within driving distance from a long weekend trip we'll be back soon kentucky kingdom i need a ride you light you run you beautiful
