This is your sign to book a family staycation in Nassau County over the February break. We recommend staying at the beautiful Long Island Marriott in Uniondale. They are located right next door to Nassau Coliseum, and they have everything you need. They have large rooms and suites, a restaurant and bar, an indoor pool with sauna, a fitness center, and even a hair salon and a gift shop. The area has tons of dining options, like the nearby Small Batch in Garden City, which features locally sourced American fare by top chef Tom Cullen. They have a weekend brunch menu and a kids menu and everything here was delicious. You have to visit the iconic and historic 112-year-old Nunley's Carousel. Make sure to stop by all of the kid-friendly museums at Museum Row. Long Island Children's Museum offers 14 interactive exhibits plus live theater art spaces and activities for kids. The Cradle of Aviation has 75 air and spacecraft and 8 galleries. And the Nassau County Firefighters Museum is attached.
