Melbourne. Stop scrolling. Cafe Spuntino in South Morangue is the kind of neighbourhood cafe that quietly sets the standard without needing to shout about it. So I'm shouting about it for them. The panini are generous, thoughtfully made and rooted in tradition, while still giving you the freedom to make it your own, reminding you how good simple food can be. My dad couldn't pronounce half the ingredients, but still cleaned the plate. Then there's the crema de cafe, served in a latte cup because baby sizes aren't a thing. If it wins over the toughest critic in the family, it'll win you over too. I promise.
