One of the must-visit places in Taipei is the National Palace Museum. This incredible museum houses nearly. 700,000 priceless. Artifacts from Chinese imperial history. Spanning over 5,000 years. Walking through the galleries. Truly feels like traveling through different dynasties. From ancient bronzes and ceramics to delicate jade carvings and calligraphy. Unfortunately. The day. I visited they were not displaying two of the museum's most famous treasures. The jade I cast. cabbage and the meat-shaped stone. That's actually pretty common since many. Artifacts rotate on display for preservation. But even without those two icons, I still saw some amazing and important pieces. One highlight was the jadeite cabbage-shaped flower holder from the Qing dynasty. Carved from a single piece of jade. With natural green coloring that makes it look. Just like a real cabbage leaf. Another impressive piece was the ancient bronze ritual vessel. A massive artifact that shows the incredible. Craftsmanship from thousands of years ago. The museum is so large you could easily spend hours exploring. And still not see everything. If you love history, art, or culture. This is absolutely one of the most fascinating places to visit in Taipei. Lightbulb tip, if you have a Taiwan ID. The entrance ticket is only about 5 US dollars. Which is an incredible deal for one of the most important museums in Asia.
