New Orleans Eats, Local Legends by Atmosfy, Part 9. New Orleans oyster. Right on Royal Street. This place is always buzzing. You see the Oyster Bar sign from the sidewalk. That's the tell. Do not skip their raw oysters. Tucked inside a Canal Street hotel, found this one on Atmosfy. You might just walk past it, order the Blue Bayou famous char-grilled oysters. Feels like a secret courtyard. Felix's is a New Orleans institution. You stand at the bar, watch the shuckers, and wait your turn. The move is the char-grilled oysters. No frills, just tradition. Okay, Oceana Grill is bringing the full New Orleans plate energy look at those crab cakes under that creamy sauce. Then the blackened fish with etouffee, dirty rice, and greens. At Antoine's restaurant, you get that classic white tablecloth setup with baked oysters on rock salt. And wait, the pipe butter and warm bread situation is so satisfyingly old school. More like these on Atmosfy.
