Children who survived the school shooting in Uvalde, Texas that killed 19 of her classmates and two teachers is expected to testify before Congress. Mia Servito survived the shooting at her school by playing dead and covering herself with the blood of a dead classmate and now she will testify before Congress next Wednesday about gun violence and the need for a legislative response. She will be before the House Oversight Committee along with the families of victims of the Uvalde and Buffalo shootings. This hearing will take place amid house votes on gun control measures approved by the Judiciary Committee and potential gun control votes in the Senate.
